Considering Your Options
If you have a positive pregnancy test, you have three primary options to consider:
If you’re thinking about terminating a pregnancy, it’s important to remember abortion is a medical procedure. What procedure will you have? What are the risks? Know the facts. You owe it to yourself to make an informed decision. We understand there’s a lot to consider. You’re not alone. Many of our staff have been where you are. If you’re considering abortion, you probably want to know:
- Are you really pregnant?
- How far along are you?
- Is your pregnancy viable?
- What are the risks associated with abortion?
We can help you find answers to these questions and more.
Adoption may not be the first thing everyone thinks of when they have a positive pregnancy test. Still, it’s an option that may benefit you and your partner, and it’s worth exploring. Birth parents have lots of choices with adoption. Will it be open, semi-open, or closed? Will it be private or should you use an agency? Birth parents can choose who adopts their child, and determine how much contact they will have with the family in the future. We can connect you with agencies, or even give you the opportunity to talk with someone who has released a child for adoption in the past. The choice is yours. We can help.
You may have more questions than answers about parenting. Or maybe the thought of becoming a parent seems overwhelming to you at this time. We’ve talked to hundreds of women and couples about this. Many have concerns or questions like:
- My partner doesn’t want the baby, but I do.
- How will I finish school?
- How will I continue working?
- I don’t have medical insurance.
- I can’t afford a child.
- I’m too young.
We can talk through these issues with you, and you can decide if parenting is right for you.
